QUALITY AND PROCESS
Each piece of MONIQUE PÉAN’s jewelry is handmade by skilled craftsmen in New York and around the globe. MONIQUE PÉAN partners with artisans around the world to support traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage, and works with artisans in areas including the Arctic Circle, Colombia, French Polynesia, Guatemala, Norway, Peru and the Philippines. MONIQUE PÉAN’s in-house production experts oversee all aspects of jewelry production, from sourcing to stone setting, to achieve the highest standards in quality and sustainability. MONIQUE PÉAN supports fair trade and strict labor and safety practices for all of its partnerships domestically and abroad.
Proceeds from MONIQUE PÉAN sales contribute to global philanthropic organizations such as charity: water, which provides clean drinking water and basic sanitation to people in developing nations. To date, MONIQUE PÉAN has built clean water wells and supported sanitation projects in Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal and Haiti. MONIQUE PÉAN is currently funding clean water wells and water filtration projects in Mali. In honor of Earth Day, every April MONIQUE PÉAN donates a portion of the proceeds from jewelry sales to Trees for the Future, which helps communities alleviate poverty, affects positive social change and improves both local and global environments by working with farming communities along environmentally degraded and highly traveled trade corridors.
